This contract ($29.8M ceiling—50% less than the IGCE), awarded to small business contractor IQS, will deliver critical medical assets to the site of a national emergency (e.g., man-made disaster, flu outbreak, earthquake, etc.). The Government manages a national repository of antibiotics, chemical antidotes, antitoxins, life-support medications, and medical supplies that can be used to supplement state and local resources during a large-scale public health emergency. The contractor provides for storage and delivery of immediate response 12-hour containerized medical supplies and pharmaceuticals designed to provide rapid delivery of a broad spectrum of assets for an ill-defined threat in the early hours of an event. This contract will also support the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) in responding to Federal emergency medical operational capabilities.
