Mike Marquez serves as the acting Director for the Army/Navy Sector. Mike oversees the procurement and management of contracts and task orders supporting the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. He also supports Combatant Commands including AFRICOM, EUCOM, PACOM, and SOUTHCOM.
Prior to joining FEDSIM, Mike was the Chief of the Contracting Office and Business Operations for the Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair in Groton, Connecticut for the U.S. Navy. He administered the contracts for the VIRGINIA Class and OHIO-Replacement submarines. Mike transferred to Groton from the Naval Sea Systems Command at the Washington Navy Yard where he served as a Procuring Contracting Officer for the Advanced Surface and Undersea Systems Capabilities Programs.
Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of San Diego and a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis on acquisition and contract management from the Naval Postgraduate School. Mike also attended the Joint Forces Staff College and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government as a senior executive fellow.
